A few more days more, and it'll be September 11! Having mixed feelings of that day, as it happens to be Richard's birhday (happy occassion) as well as the day the entire world saw terrorism hit America with their very eyes. (sadd occassion) However, this year's September 11 happens to also be the start of my Preliminary Exams! (super sadd day)

Must continue to work and pace ourselves throughout the journey to our "O" Levels. It is also important to save and cherish the relationships with your friends right now instead of displeasing everyone at this crucial point of time by only concentrating on your studies and forgeting about your friends - remember: your friends are humans too and require moral support! Send a little greeting or e-card to your friend or even a simple smile can brighten up one's day.

Sad to say, I have received mych backstabs in this year alone, Wei Xiong was one of the very subtle ones. Can't believe that he could really lie and scold vulgarities though he looks like a quiet, demure and good-natured boy in school, broke my heart actually, (as a friend) I also cease to be his friend from then on. It is scary to think that the person who seem to be very "goody goody" can actually be the person you will dislike the most. I will say that I don't hate him, but I am sad and disappointed when I really looked into his character.

Another segment of my Sec 4 life was the part that I was trying to catch up... Still catching up, still going strong now, Thank God... It was both tough and challenging. Had to deal with the emotional struggles and intellectual challenges at times. Some intellects tried to put me down, but I don't see the reason why must i stop pursuing forward.

Thankful Things in Sec 4 life:
- started to spur forward
- voice started to mature after breaking in Sec 2 (can sing better!)
- had some very good friends beside me to cheer me on
- Ms Ching was still my class's form teacher (thank God!)
- Willie and his child-like antics makes me think of my childhood years
- managed to give up my infatutation over a female friend of three years (whew... thankfully!)
- thank God for the good friends I have in church! (all so loving and kind, and also friendly!)

Sad Things in Sec 4 life:
- when I knew the character of some of my classmates
- resigned from Children's Church's Worship Team
- need to retake Chinese MTL Exam (got C6, gotta strive on!)
- very little friends in school (depressing!)
- death of Steve Irwin (though I am not related to him, but I will certainly miss his shows!)
- the tragedy of the Teachers' Day Concert (I guessed the whole event and celebrations were proved to be rather unsuccessful; ex-students were also fighting in the canteen)

Suprising Things in Sec 4 life:
- when my class saw Miss Ching out with her boyfriend at Ben & Jerry's
- when Miss Ching somehow treated us to a sumptuous spread though it was supposed to be our task, on Teachers' Day! (thank you Miss Ching and Mrs Goh!)
- when I found out that my Secret Pal was seating right beside me... (Oh, It's Hui Yi!)
- when I went to Victoria Concert Hall, dressed up more formally than the rest! (I was indeed surprised, but not ashamed!)

If you were wondering why I was not in school for A Maths remedial, that is because I am currently having a swell in my right eye. Now resting at home - had the time to type out this post!

See ya!

Dance to the freedom we know...

"We're gonna dance dance dance...
In the freedom we know.
We're gonna dance dance dance...
In the freedom we know.
We're gonna dance dance dance...
In the freedom we know.
Because the freedom we know is gonna last forever!"

I just cannot stop singing this song I heard at my church's youth service, it is so very energetic and not to mention - it also reflects the youthful side of what Christianity to a youth is all about. Obviously the lyrics of the song does not just end there...

Many of my friends consider the scene in which Mr. Bean is found in a cathedral making a fool out of himself while singing the song: "Hallelujah!" and think that Christianity is booring...

But in truth, it really isn't. Christianity can be as fun as it can be, we can sing and praise our Lord, have fun and fellowship with our fellow brothers and sisters-in-Christ, and also at the same time engage into a deeper relationship with God - isn't that amazing? It is really all up to them to open themselves to Christ or not to recieve Christ at all in their lifetime.

Even though I may be a Christian, I still think racial harmony in Singapore is crucial. To live harmoniously beyond our racial and religious differences is indeed a blessing from God. We must learn to cherish it and not let any conflict tear us apart. I am happy, we'll all happy, God is happy... I feel that the next step is to really go beyond our comfort zones and get to know the people of other religion - not to offend them. I just pray that hopefully at some point in their life, that they will know and understand where the true path lies... the true path to Heaven. Whatever blessings our country currenly has, I thank God for blessing us with the racial and religious cohesion we have as a nation and the prosperity and progress our government has mould our nation to become.

"In the meantime, nobody is going to stop me from continually dancing for God and on ACES day... Hahax!
